Hans Nater has been appointed to the ad hoc Division of the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS) for the 2020 Tokyo Olympic Games (postponed to 2021). The purpose of the CAS ad hoc Division is to resolve, in an expedited manner, disputes that arise during the Olympic Games and the 10-day period leading up to the Opening of the Games. Where an application is made to the CAS ad hoc Division, the matter is heard by a tribunal of three arbitrators or by a sole arbitrator.
