A patient of a public hospital underwent surgery. Months after the surgery, the patient still suffered from pain making it impossible for her to master everyday life.

Acting on behalf of the defendant, the Nater Dallafior team won the complex proceedings. The Civil Circuit Court Basel-Land East ("Zivilkreisgericht Basel-Landschaft Ost") found in favour of the hospital and dismissed all claims. The court decided after complex evidence proceedings including extensive expert witness reports on alleged medical malpractice. The judgment can be appealed (Decision of the Civil Circuit Court Basel-Land East of 16 December 2016).
