FINMA appoints Matthias Gstoehl as vice-president of the creditors’ committee of Banque Privée Espirito Santo (Suisse) SA in liquidation

On 19 May 2016, Swiss financial market supervisory authority FINMA appointed Matthias Gstoehl to the creditors’ committee of Banque Privée Espirito Santo (Suisse) SA in liquidation (“BPES”). The creditors’ committee comprises 6 lawyers, who were selected by FINMA out of 51 applicants for their qualifications and experience in Swiss banking, civil and bankruptcy law. Tasks of the committee include the supervision of the liquidator, the authorization of the continuation of BPES’ banking activity, the approval of the accounts and of provisional distributions to creditors.
